What is an On-Site Pull Out Test?

At Conmech Cutnfix Pvt Ltd, we provide On-Site Pull Out Test Services to evaluate the load-bearing capacity and performance of anchors, fasteners, and fixings used in concrete, masonry, and structural elements. Our testing ensures every anchor system meets design requirements and safety standards before being put into service.

Whether you’re installing chemical anchors, mechanical anchors, or post-installed fasteners, our on-site pull out test delivers precise data about the tensile strength, deformation, and stability of each fixing point under real-world load conditions.

Pull out tests are a crucial step in construction quality assurance. They help verify that anchor installations meet the required load capacity and are safe for structural loads and dynamic stresses.

With Conmech Cutnfix, you get a certified team using calibrated hydraulic testing equipment to perform the test as per industry standards (IS and ASTM methods).

Key Benefits:

✅ Ensures anchor and substrate reliability

✅ Detects improper installations or weak substrates

✅ Provides load-deformation characteristics

✅ Confirms compliance with design load requirements

✅ Reduces risk of structural failures

What is an On-Site Pull Out Test?

We follow a systematic testing process designed to deliver accuracy, repeatability, and reliable performance results.

1. Load Application

We apply a tensile load onto the anchor under test — typically at least 1.5 times the recommended load specified by the anchor manufacturer.
This helps determine the maximum load an anchor can safely resist without displacement or failure.

2. Testing Without Deformation Measurement

For standard pull out tests (without deformation tracking), the load is maintained for a minimum of 2 minutes once the specified load level is achieved.
This confirms whether the anchor remains stable and secure under sustained stress.

3. Testing With Deformation Measurement

For advanced testing, the load is maintained for at least 1 hour while recording both load and deformation readings:

  • At the start and end of the loading period

  • After removal of the test load

This provides a detailed understanding of the anchor’s elastic and plastic behavior, ensuring it meets safety and durability expectations.

4. Visual Inspection

After each test, we conduct a thorough visual inspection of the anchor and surrounding concrete area to identify any signs of cracking, displacement, or material failure.
This final inspection ensures the structure remains safe and free of hidden damage after testing.
