On-Site Pull Out Test

At Conmech Cutnfix Pvt. Ltd., we provide reliable and certified On-Site Pull Out Testing to evaluate the load-bearing capacity of mechanical and chemical anchors installed in concrete, RCC, masonry, and other substrates. Our testing ensures compliance with industry standards and structural safety—before construction begins or after installation.

Validate Anchor Strength. Ensure Structural Integrity.

What is an On-Site Pull Out Test?

An On-Site Pull Out Test is a controlled tensile test performed on anchors or fasteners embedded in structural materials to determine their pull-out strength under load. The test helps verify whether the installed anchors meet the specified performance criteria set by manufacturers or engineering consultants.

We perform both:

  • Proof Load Tests – To validate anchors without damaging them (non-destructive testing)
  • Ultimate Load Tests – To identify failure load (destructive testing)

Step-by-Step Process:

1. Anchor/Rebar Installation

  • A mechanical anchor (like wedge or sleeve type) or a chemical anchor (using epoxy or polyester resin) is fixed into a drilled hole in the concrete.

  • The installation follows manufacturer guidelines to ensure accurate results.

2. Curing Time (for chemical anchors)

  • If chemical anchors are used, allow sufficient curing time as per the resin specifications. This ensures the adhesive achieves full strength.

3. Test Setup

  • A hydraulic pull-out testing machine is set up.

  • The anchor head is connected to the jack using threaded adaptors or test rigs.

  • A reaction frame or tripod is placed around the anchor to absorb counterforces and avoid disturbing the surrounding concrete.

4. Applying the Load

  • The jack applies a gradual tensile force on the anchor.

  • The load is increased steadily, and the reading is monitored using a digital or analog pressure gauge.

5. Recording Results

  • The maximum load at which:

    • The anchor fails, or

    • Excessive displacement occurs,
is recorded as the pull-out strength.

  • The displacement vs. load graph may also be plotted for analysis.
